aRterior - interior design with a sunday feeling

It has been too long since I have done my last post. I have really missed you guys. Thank you for all the sweet comments that you are leaving lately. I really appreciate it.

Today I want to tell you about an interior company that aims at creating a luxury sunday feeling in your house. That feeling of enjoyment, comfort and luxury. As if the world stays still when you enter your own home. aRterior is a Dutch company providing the whole interior for your home.
This philosophy totally fits my taste. I love to create an atmosphere of comfort and peas, filled with only beauty. Let your dream things surround you. Let you LIVE YOUR DREAM!

Someone I know is doing their whole interior with aRterior at the moment. I hope I will get the chance to shoot some pictures after it has been done.

Villa Harteneck

By now I could start a full week roadtrip, just to visit some amazing shops/ villas around Europe. This time I'm talking about Villa Harteneck in Berlin. 

Villa Harteneck is a shop, but you just may call it villa as well. They are into Interior design, as well as event decoration and accessoires.

Just see for yourself and get yourself convinced.. it's time for a roadtrip!

Tejo Remy & René Veenhuizen

After yesterdays post about gordons' villa, I felt the urge of getting a bit deeper into what interior design is all about. Today this brought me to Tejo Remy & René Veenhuizen.

Tejo and René are a design duo who have been active together since 2000. Some of their designs you are most probably familiar with.

Hereby my wishlist:

The Milk Bottle lamp

The milk bottles hang just above the floor in rows of three by four as in Dutch milk crates from the old days.

 The Rag Chair

This chair is layered from the contents of 15 bags of rags. It arrives ready made but the user has the option to recycle its own discarded clothes to be included in the design. Each piece is unique; a treasure-chest of memories.

The Chest of Drawers #100

Chest of drawers had its première in 1991 and has since become a true Droog classic, an icon of conceptual design collected by museums such as MoMA and Museum of Art and Design in New York. A criticism on consumerism, Tejo Remy collected found drawers, gave them new enclosures and loosely bundled them into a chest. His pioneering vision was to make one’s own paradise with what one encounters, as Robinson Crusoë did on his island.

The unique number 100 has been made in collaboration with Dutch jewellery designer Ted Noten who created a special perspex drawer. Items that are usually hidden away, like a revolver, cocaine and diamonds, are now fixed in the material forever.

The Concrete Chair and Bench

Furniture that appears to be made of inflated fabric, but is actually made from poured concrete.
