My first little design project inspiration

Dear all,

It is almost official. I am going to help with the design of a house.
My colleague has just bought  a new house and is busy with thinking of the decoration of it. He needs everything. Starting at the mirror in the hall finishing with the curtains, couch and the TV.

The things present:
Kitchen, dark color closets
Dark floor

Things wishing:
Couch with a L shape
White chair,
High dining table for 4.

i found the dark floor quite interesting and also quite challenging.  what for type of furniture can you use with a really dark floor....
Here is some inspiration, something with dark floors. ..

This picture I find really appropriate! Modern, warm and I think this is the style of my colleague!

So, you should keep it light, maybe with a sparkle of a color.

But you should always remember that dark color absorbs the light, so makes the room feel less spacious.

I will keep on thinking on the best solution...

If you wish to create something like that yourself, just keep it simple, place all the frames together, dont spread them, otherwise it will get a messy and lost atmosphere.

Also nice to use: different shapes of frames that form one part together. Different shapes make in into a playful image of frames

Project: lawyers office in a shopping mall....

This is already  more then a month that I do my education. Here is a small update about how things are going.

After I had quite some positive responses on my well-done drawings and got some more confidence in my so-called interesting designs (according to the teacher), I realized that I am still not there where I want to be. I mean, now after making some simple living rooms, bathrooms etc, it is starting to get real complicated. 

This week I am making an office for a young lawyer who decided to get herself a space in a shopping mall. 

The word says it, shopping mall , means only one big window with a doorway in the middle. 

The requests are:

- kitchen

- working area

- gathering room

- toilet

Also, I had to think of privacy, lightning plan and keep it original  ( the last one is my own request I must say).

So, in the end after days of brainstorming, being moody because nothing came out of my hands and sleepless nights, I almost know it! 

I will be using my already almost famous ROUND WALLS! Keeping it different again! At least I really hope so! 

In the meantime, while I am thinking hard of my design and being creative, here are some offices for  the designer in you!
